Craft Fair

at the Bowness Community Association

IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT

It appears there is a person (or persons) attempting to scam community members by impersonating the Bowness Community Association Craft Fair. Emails have been sent out inviting folks to apply for the “Bowness Christmas Market”. These are NOT from us and are a SCAM.

These emails are coming from an email address called bownesschristmasmarket@gmail.com. This is not our BCA email address and is a SCAM.

You can differentiate emails from the BCA from these scam emails by two factors:
Our emails are from this email address: craftfair@mybowness.com
Our event is a Holiday Craft Fair, not a Christmas Market

What you can do:
  • Do not open, respond to or click any links in the email
  • REPORT the email to your email provider as SPAM
  • TELL your friends and family, or anyone who you think might be interested in applying for the craft fair, about the scam and how to protect themselves.

If you have applied by clicking the link in the email, DO NOT send money when it is requested, and BLOCK the email address the request is coming from. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact the BCA. Please help keep our community safe by passing the information along to others.
