Join us for an exciting evening where we will be serving up a free community meal of pasta and salad generously provided in part with support from Bona Roma, alongside the viewing of the documentary DESERTED. The viewing will be followed by a discussion to share our thoughts, led by City of Calgary community social worker, Clara Yuen.
DESERTED is a short film that investigates the issue of food deserts in Nova Scotia and how food deserts impact food insecurity in both urban and rural areas of the province. Taking a cross-cultural view, the film follows several Nova Scotians who live in food deserts and looks at the challenges and solutions.
