Neighbourhood Food Week 2025

September 20–26, 2025

Get ready for the 3rd annual Neighbourhood Food Week—a week-long celebration of food, fun, and community! All events are free, but some require advance registration.

Registration for all events opens September 2 at noon.


🍂 Food Week Kick Off & Flavours of Fall Bake Off

Saturday, September 20 | 12:00–3:00 PM
Location: BCA Main Hall
Registration required for Bake Off only

Start Food Week with a community celebration! Drop in for sandwiches, snacks, and good company—no registration needed. While you’re there, check out the Flavours of Fall Bake Off, where neighbours showcase their best sweet or savoury creations. A limited number of $20 ingredient gift cards are available (email Abby at communityhub@mybowness.com to inquire). The top three entries will each win a Good Food Box!

🎬 Doc & Dine

Sunday, September 21 | 5:00–7:00 PM

Join us for How We Break Bread and Build Bonds—a storytelling-driven workshop exploring how food connects us, shapes our identities, and nourishes community. The evening features a screening of The Root of It All mini-documentary, followed by a discussion with its creators, plus a light meal to share.

🌮 Taco Talk: Food Sustainability Panel Discussion
